How does Make Space Aiming Higher work?
It’s simple. Once Youth Settings have their Make Space Aiming higher pack, they need to put together a portfolio for submission. This portfolio will contain information and evidence as to how the setting feels they meet the criteria for each quality milestone as detailed in the Make Space Aiming Higher pack. Once they feel their portfolio is ready, it can be submitted for assessment. Make Space assessors will then consider the portfolio and visit the setting, after which quality accreditation will be awarded if the requisite standards are met. Make Space offer additional support in the process through pre-assessments, mentoring days and the Steps to Quality training pack.

Nestlé Making Healthier Easier
This programme supports young people to live healthier, active lifestyles. In consultation with a number of Make Space clubs, the British Nutrition Foundation has developed a short guide for all Make Space clubs, including a simple checklist with suggestions for ways to make your club healthier, to provide young people with the opportunities to make informed choices about what they eat and drink and to enable staff and young people to develop a healthier attitude towards food.
